The Bandstand is a building type in Pharaoh.
General Information[]
Bandstands provide a place where jugglers and musicians can perform. Bandstands must be placed at an intersection that has at least two tiles of road pointing in three non-opposite directions each. Once properly staffed with a juggler and/or a musician, the bandstand itself generates jugglers/musicians that wander the surrounding area.
Bandstands help boost the overall entertainment value of the city, but they only provide enough entertainment to evolve intermediate housing; for more sophisticated housing (and a higher Culture rating), Pavilions must also be built.
Bandstands are an intermediate form of entertainment venue, supporting stages for both musicians and jugglers. In terms of coverage, venues for jugglers support 400 population each; venues for musicians support 700 population each. Having good coverage of juggling and musician stages grants a passive entertainment bonus to all houses, city-wide.
Bandstands are desirable to live close to, although not as desirable as pavilions. They are prone to catching fire.
